Weed stop with planto's weed barrier fabric
The planto pro weed control fabric / mulch fabric provides a mechanical barrier against unwanted plant growth. When used in combination with a mulch layer of approx. 5 cm, the fabric can reduce the amount of light reaching the soil and thereby make it more difficult for weeds to germinate and grow.
The product can be used without the application of weed killers.
Application
Place the weed control fabric over the prepared garden bed. Any existing weeds should be thoroughly removed beforehand.
At the locations where existing or newly planted plants are to remain or be planted, cut cross-shaped openings into the fabric. The plants can then be guided through the openings or planted through them.
The weed control fabric should then be covered with a thick layer of approx. 5 cm of bark mulch, straw, gravel or a similar material.
The mulch layer reduces the amount of light reaching the soil and can therefore further make weed germination more difficult. It also protects the fabric from direct sunlight and can thereby contribute to a longer service life.
Application note: Remove existing vegetation as thoroughly as possible before installation. The fabric should be covered with a suitable mulch or covering layer in accordance with the intended application.
